Water Leak Adjustment
You may qualify for a water leak adjustment if:
- Water usage is twice the normal monthly average
- Have not received a leak adjustment in the past
- Leak has been repaired (Proof of repairs with supporting documentation is required for any submission)
- Confirmed usage has returned to normal
Customers are eligible for a one-time, lifetime adjustment per location only.
A leak adjustment is not full forgiveness of the water loss.
If approved, it would be an adjustment for one-month only (highest usage month). An additional month may be approved in extreme cases and at the discretion of the District.
Adjustments are calculated based on the use above the normal average during the same months in previous years. The units of water above this average are re-billed at the lowest tiered rate and added to the average.
Customers are advised to pay their water bill while an adjustment is pending.
